infinitely GREEN
infinitely GREEN is a modular art installation made from green plastic waste. Its foundation consists of identical green fruit crates sourced from The Hague Market. Attached to these are various forms of discarded plastic — all in shades of green — fastened with striking red, orange, and pink cable ties.
Reflection on nature and artificiality
The installation raises questions about our relationship with nature, sustainability, and artificiality.
It alludes to artificial lawns, plastic plants, and low-maintenance urban gardens — places where fake, maintenance-free nature is favoured over real, cooling greenery.
A critical wink at an artificial living environment
With a critical yet playful wink, infinitely GREEN highlights how our surroundings are becoming increasingly artificial — and how plastic is literally and figuratively taking root in our landscape.
The work offers a playful but poignant reflection on the impact of waste and consumption on our living environment.
infinitely GREEN was on view during the summer months at the Watershield Pavilion at Muiderslot Castle.
